This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may not do with Clikgen. It exists because messaging platforms are shared infrastructure — abuse by one sender damages deliverability, quality ratings and trust for everyone. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. General prohibitions
You must not use the platform to:
- Break any applicable law, regulation or third-party platform policy.
- Send messages to people who have not given a lawful, evidenced opt-in.
- Harass, threaten, defame, stalk or discriminate against any person.
- Impersonate another business, person or government body, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Distribute malware, phishing links, or content designed to obtain credentials or payment details deceptively.
- Run pyramid schemes, unlicensed financial products, fraudulent investment offers or deceptive prize promotions.
- Promote content prohibited by the WhatsApp Commerce Policy, including weapons, illegal drugs, tobacco, adult content and live animals.
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, authentication or any other technical control.
- Probe, scan or stress-test our infrastructure without written authorisation.
- Resell access to the platform without a signed reseller agreement.
2. Messaging rules
WhatsApp, SMS and email each have their own legal and platform constraints. At minimum, across every channel, you must:
- Hold and be able to evidence consent for each recipient, including the source and date it was obtained.
- Use the correct WhatsApp template category — marketing content must not be submitted as utility or authentication.
- Identify your business clearly in the message.
- Honour STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE and equivalent local-language requests immediately and permanently, across every channel.
- Respect quiet hours and any do-not-disturb registry applicable in the recipient's jurisdiction.
- Never purchase, rent or scrape consumer contact lists for messaging.
- Never send to a number simply because it appeared in a business directory, unless your jurisdiction permits B2B contact on that basis and you have applied the required suppression checks.
3. Lead scraping
The business-listing scraper uses the official Google Places API under your own API key and Google's terms. When using it you must:
- Collect business contact information only — do not enrich records with personal data you have no lawful basis to hold.
- Retain the source and retrieval date on every record so an erasure request can be honoured.
- Check scraped contacts against your suppression and do-not-contact lists before any outreach.
- Comply with the marketing law that applies to the recipient, which may prohibit unsolicited contact even for businesses.
- Not resell scraped data as a standalone list product.
4. Calling and recording
- Disclose recording at the start of any recorded call, unless your legal advice confirms it is unnecessary in every jurisdiction involved.
- Do not use auto-dialling in a way that abandons calls beyond the rate your regulator permits.
- Respect national do-not-call registries.
- Do not spoof caller identity to disguise who is calling.
- Restrict access to recordings to staff with a legitimate need, and honour deletion requests promptly.
5. AI agents
- Disclose that the customer is interacting with an automated assistant.
- Do not configure an agent to claim to be a specific named human.
- Do not use agents to give regulated financial, legal or medical advice without appropriate licensing and human oversight.
- Ensure a human handover path exists and works.
- Take responsibility for what your agent says — output generated on your instruction is your content.
6. Enforcement
Where we identify a breach we will normally contact you first and give you a reasonable opportunity to correct it. Where the breach is serious, unlawful, or presents immediate risk to other customers or to our relationship with a platform provider, we may suspend or terminate the workspace without prior notice.
Enforcement steps, in escalating order: warning, rate limiting, feature suspension, workspace suspension, termination. We will always tell you which step has been taken and why, and you may appeal to us on WhatsApp on +91 96304 70438.
Report suspected abuse of the platform by any customer to WhatsApp on +91 96304 70438. We investigate every report.
